Geelong Floating Christmas Tree
Originally a controversial purchase, visiting the Floating Geelong Christmas Tree has become a annual
tradition for many people, attracting locals and visitors from across the state for a weekend away.
It usually lights up in mid to later November and can be viewed throughout the evening from the Geelong Waterfront.
Geelong City Hall Lights Christmas Lights
Another Annual Christmas themed event, projections light up City Hall nightly leading up to Christmas. Visit the Floating Christmas tree then once it gets dark enough you can stop and see the City Hall Lights on your way home. Each year is a different theme to the light show so its worth checking out even if you have been before
Adventure Park – Christmas Festival of Lights
Christmas Festival of Lights at Adventure Park near Geelong is a fun family-friendly event that has now been running for many years.
Tickets for the Festival of Lights are now available from their tickets page.
While the water rides will be closed for these evening sessions, the dry rides will be open to 10pm and included as part of entry to the Festival of Lights.
If you really feel like splashing out you can also add on the hire a two-storey deluxe tree-top cabana (with sunset views of the festival of lights) to base yourself on for the evening!
Carols By Candlelight in Geelong

Set to the backdrop of Geelongs iconic waterfront, the Geelong City Council run Carols by the Bay is another popular annual Christmas event in Geelong.
Generally, it runs in early December however you can check the website for all the up-to-date details.
