This is an evolving list, I will add to it as I find new options.
Interlude (formally Tinie tamper) – Grovedale
Breakfast + Lunch
Interlude is a container is a carpark on the corner of Torquay Road and Reserve Road (Tinie Tamper is there cute little food van that’s now moved to Jan Juc). Available for breakfast or lunch only Interlude does a delicious takeaway sourdough toastie that has two kinds of vegan cheese, roast pumpkin, bell pepper and pesto. Pick up yourself as there is plenty of car parking (and popular with tradies who park on the side of reserve road) or order from Doordash for delivery.
Black Basil Thai – Highton
Dinner Tuesday-Sunday + Lunch Thursday-Saturday
Black Basil Thai is hugely popular with locals as not only is it tasty it is very reasonably priced. It also has an extensive vegan menu with a vegan pad thai with tofu and vegetables for around $16
Just make sure you factor in its wait times can be over an hour on a Friday and sometimes Saturday night with people coming from many surrounding suburbs for their food.

Boss Burger – waurn ponds, geelong west, leopold
Lunch + Dinner however opening hours vary depending on store location – but they are often open to later in the night 8pm +
A long time favourite with Geelong Vegans, Boss Burger has a cult following across Geelong. They specialise in not just burgers but loaded fries and have both vegetable and imitation meat style burgers, as well as a vegan loaded chips.
If the vegan options are not on your delivery app sometimes they have forgotten to turn them back on so it’s worth giving them a call instead of missing out. I also ad cheese to the burger and request it to be vegan in the comments (and in store) which has never been an issue.
For some reason, the Waurn Ponds store has different loaded vegan fries (just 1 sauce) to the original style in Geelong West which sometimes also has a vegan sauce and vegan cheese sauce (apparently according to my friend who ordered it recently).
Mallee Thai Highton
The vegan choices are not always obvious when ordering from Mallee Thai as you have to go into the product to see if there is a Vegan version on their app (ie select your meat type or vegan).
My favourite is satay vegetables with coconut rice – a healthier but delicious takeaway meal when you can’t be bothered cooking.
Mallee Thai is another good late night option, often serving to beyond 10pm. Order direct (there website or find them on uber eats.
La Porchetta Geelong
La Porchetta has been a fairly early adopter of catering for vegans and the Geelong menu has expanded to be huge. They have developed a range of creamy pastas and cheesy vegan alternatives for when you feel like vegan Italian food in Geelong. They’re also currently under the name ‘Vegan World (Geelong)’ on Uber Eats.
They have entrees (like eggplant chips and Arancini), pizzas, pastas, pamas and even dessert options! This means you can basically order all the delicious meals you miss from before being vegan guilt free.
Big Bens Pizza
Big Bens Vegan Mediterranean with a few ingredient changes to tweak it for me (I add pineapple, controversial in some circles, I know ;)) is one of my favourite vegan pizzas in Geelong as it’s heavy on the toppings so it’s loaded with vegetables (skip it if your looking for more of thin crust, sparse option).

You can pay with Afterpay directly via the Doordash App (get $15 off your first 3 orders here) or you can pay for Ubereats or Deliveroo with Afterpay by buying gift cards from them then loading them onto your account.
